In the early '90's Rabbit Trax was on "Yesterday USA" which, at that time, was a
satellite radio station. It required a 12 foot dish to receive it.
The station was owned by Bill Bragg of Richarson, Texas. Bill's wife at that time
was Ruth who had two children, Angela and Robbie.
Bill copied DJ's 25 minute tapes to 90 minute cassettes and filled in each half
hour with talkling about the station and begging for money.
The cassettes played for two weeks at the uplink site in Newport, Tennessee
on an automation system that changed the order each day.
Then a new batch of tapes was loaded.
Bill asked me to play comedy records after the previous comedy DJ left the station.
I took it on myself to start wrting and performing comedy routines between records.
Other DJ's who liked to be mentioned on Rabbit Trax were Leonard Martinez of
Laredo, Texas who was blind; and Denny Nichols who lived in Michigan and had a
slight speech defect.
